i rarely see anyone of my age on this site. the only one who wanted to chat with me, and it was a private chat which i don't care to do, was a guy 20 years younger. are there really people closer to my age around?

`This has been my main complaint, too. But, being the eternal optimist that I am, I keep on checking out the people and hoping for a response from someone near my age.
Also, many men who are in their early 50's start out with "I'm old, but I'm not over the hill", or "Just a country boy and enjoy quiet evenings at home." That sure doesn't tell me that there is any life in them, or that they are fun-loving. I've come to the conclusion that there are a lot of men out there who are basically looking for a woman to take care of them, and they sure are of a different mind set than women.

Just a quick note from the webmaster.
There shouldn't be any members under 55 on this site.
We have code in place that is supposed to prevent it, but perhaps there is a glitch in the system.
Please report anyone under 55 that you see, and we'll have tech. support look into how they were able to add this site into their account.
Thanks,
.

`Feed back-I see people in their teens and twenties more than anyone else when doing a search for females aged 45 and up. Just scan new members and you can't miss all the younger ones on here.
mycre8or-You are probably right but some of us are looking for a lady that doesn't need to be pampered in the way of going out partying all the time. My idea of pampering a lady is way more personal such as feet rubs after a long day. I do feel old sometimes but hey I know I am at the mid-point in life and am more picky about what I am looking for in a relationship. Yes I want a woman to take care of me but not financial or cleaning up after me, instead standing beside me, picking me up when I'm feeling down, encouraging each other to obtain our goals. That sort of thing.

We'd like to re-create what you are seeing so we can test the restrictions we have in place.
You stated that you were able to do a search for women 45 and up...but the search system on Senior Passions should start at 50.
Where are you running the search for members 45 years old?
Please send the information on this directly to us via email ((removed)).
Once we see what you are doing, we'll try to re-create the search, and see if we can spot the problem (and the younger members you have referenced).
Thanks,
8)

`My experience on this dating site has been interesting, even though not successful. So far I have encountered a number of young men who don't care that I'm a 78 years old. Well, I don't care that I'm 78 either, but I've raised my children and I'm through. Also, I find it creepy that "boys" have no qualms about relationships with grandmothers.
Then there are the three promising gentlemen who were professional people prior to retiring, they were close to my age, they were sincere, had a sense of humor and they were within my location and we seemed to have so much in common.
I was still in the communication stage with each. We were looking forward to making arrangements to meet in person. Keep in mind that these were three different people, at three different times. With each one, just before completing plans to meet for the first time in person, I was contacted and told they had suddenly had to go out of town, but we would meet as soon as they returned. Again, with each, I received another contact about some really unexpected disaster and needed me to send some finances which they would re-pay as soon as they returned. Hello!!! Do I have STUPID printed on my forehead???
I could understand one man trying to pull a scam, but three in a row? But, I am the eternal optimist and I will persevere! I may have to consider using another site, but I'm not dead yet!

PLEASE USE THE REPORT BUTTON IN OUR EMAIL SYSTEM TO REPORT SITUATIONS LIKE THIS.
The REPORT button forwards the email to us for review.
It is against our TOS (TERMS OF SERVICE) for any member to ask any other member for money at any point, for any reason.
If you do not report members who do this, then we are not aware of their actions, and we cannot take action (i.e. delete them from our system).
While we have a VERY large number of filters in place to try and prevent situations like this, no system is foolproof, and scammers are SNEAKY.
We need our members to actively report anyone who asks for money for ANY reason, as it is grounds for account deletion.
This helps to prevent 'bad apples' from interacting with other members who might fall for their story.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE...REPORT people who ask for money, or anyone you feel the least bit unsure of.
We review EVERY report and the account of the member reported, so we need our members to help us find and weed out the 'bad guys'.
Thanks (and good for you for not falling for this type of scam)!

`Hi,
Well im on a few forums and yes there are many scammers around and quite frankly I don't trust the men at all because of that iv had now about 100 men send messages and saying how they wont to get to know me ,
Right what for money ..... and I have in my profiles said quite pointedly im not interested in men ,so do they read my profiles nope , and many are way below age 50, im 67 im more interested in having a woman by my side who I can trust and her me .
and the likelihood of finding a lovely woman is almost nill and would who ever be interested in me doubt it , oh well never mind .
As for other forums there are many scammers and very few can be trusted oh and don't forget some men are posing as women a good few in fact so be carefull of them if I what to check them out ill go on our German forums and find if they have been tracked many 1000.s have .
Oh forgot, not sure about photos I cant get mine up ,I tried ,
im a Kiwi form NZ , any way . may see ya around . take care .
